Looking for a meaningful way to help people on a part time basis? Join the Meals on Wheels Program! Community Action is looking for regular and substitute food deliverers to bring meals to seniors in the Ashtabula, Conneaut/ Geneva-and Jefferson areas. Volunteers are also needed in the program! Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children, promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children, and encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. Develop individual goals for children, provide continuous assessment on progress and facilitate transition into kindergarten. Prefer Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related or qualifying field, Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with minimum of 27 credit hours in Early Childhood Education .

The Director of Senior & Community Services will ensure the development, oversight and application of programs in the Senior and Community Services Division. They will follow the Agency mission, policies, goals and objectives, and advise the Executive Director of such. The director will be responsible for completion of program(s) budget(s). They will have, or quickly acquire, the ability to assess local anti-poverty and Senior needs, plan programs to meet needs, locate funding source(s) and write grants. They will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated project(s) and/or program(s) and assure they are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
A successful candidate must have diverse competencies as well as knowledge and abilities of the following: Supervision, management principles and practice, staff development, grant writing, data collection, business acumen, experience with vendor contracts, experience working with diverse populations, excellent communication skills, knowledge of community social service network, analytical skills, data collection, and ability to draft meaningful and appropriate reports and documentation. Most importantly, a qualified candidate will be passionate about serving the community and leading the teams that serve the community. In accordance with Federal Performance Standards, our Head Start Toddler Teachers provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the Early Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor area and field trips). They promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children. Toddler Teachers encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. They develop individual goals for children, provide continuous assessment on progress and facilitate transition into the Head Start Program. Some requirements are:
*Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field with a minimum of 30 qualified credit hours, or Appropriate Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials.
