  • Full-time/Exempt.
    Ensure the development, oversight and application in the Senior and Community Programs, follow the Agency mission, policies, goals and objectives and advises Executive Director of such. Responsible for completion of program(s) budget(s). Ability to assess local anti-poverty and Senior needs, plan programs to meet needs, locate funding source(s) and write grants. Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project(s) and/or program(s) and assures they are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through appropriate supervisors.

  • Full-time/Exempt. Administer the Agency’s personnel management system including communication and implementation of personnel policies and practices, orientation, benefits and compensation. Assist program directors with employee relations.

  • Regular, Full-time. Prepares delicious meals for seniors enrolled in the Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining programs. Also prepares and serves delicious food to the public at the Village Table Café and other catered events. Supports the operations of an efficient kitchen, providing high quality meals in accordance with established standards of nutrition, health and sanitation.

  • Regular, full-time. Inspire and support lifelong healthy eating and activity choices for individuals and residents of Ashtabula County through nutrition education and counseling. Services are provided through the agency's community-based nutrition programs including WIC, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Farmers' Market, Senior Nutrition and Community Outreach and Education.

  • Full time, full year. In Partnership with staff, families, and the community, promote family wellness and parent involvement to support the implementation of the family partnership process. Operate as a liaison between classroom and home settings in the area of education, child development, and mental health.

  • Looking for a meaningful way to help people on a part time basis? Join the Meals on Wheels Program! Community Action is looking for regular and substitute food deliverers to bring meals to seniors in the Ashtabula, Conneaut/ Geneva-and Jefferson areas. Volunteers are also needed in the program! Must have dependable vehicle, be insurable and pass background check and drug test.

  • Regular, Part-Time (6 hours per week), Part-Year- Tutor needed for Upper DEC Dragon PLUS Program, an afterschool youth program committed to providing academic and enrichment activities to students of the AACS District. The Tutor is responsible for instructing or assisting students as needed, ensuring students are meeting goals, and assisting in the evaluation of the student’s progress.

  • Regular, Part-Time (13-16 hours per week), Part-Year- Upper DEC Dragon PLUS Coach for a youth program committed to providing academic and enrichment activities to students of the AACS District. The PLUS Coach is responsible for oversight of the classroom, instructing or assisting students as needed, ensuring students are meeting goals, maintaining discipline, and assisting in the evaluation of the student’s progress. Provides input on implementation of the afterschool programs and services. This position assists any volunteers and consultants who work in the afterschool program.

  • Regular, Full-time. We are looking for an individual to join our team in the fast growing energy efficiency sector. Performs weatherization measures in accordance with program standards, conduct repairs to the interior/exterior of the housing structure, or install materials to make customer homes safe and energy efficient.

  • Regular, Full-Time. To maintain a safe and healthy environment by ensuring quality service delivery by incorporating Child Day Care Licensing Laws and Federal Head Start Performance Standards. Provide general program management by coaching, monitoring and training the team. Serve as an integrator of all program components. Requirements: Bachelor's degree-Preference Given to: A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associate (CDA) or in a related field with a minimum of 30 credit hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.

  • Full-time (40 hrs) Part Year (42 weeks). Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children, promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children, and encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. Develop individual goals for children, provide continuous assessment on progress and facilitate transition into kindergarten. Prefer Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related or qualifying field, Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with minimum of 27 credit hours in Early Childhood Education .     In accordance with Federal Performance Standards, assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role to provide a successful, educational setting to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children. Strive to encourage parent engagement in all aspects of the program. Must have CDA (Child Development Associate). In accordance with Federal Performance Standards, provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the Early Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor area and field trips). Requirements: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field with a minimum of 30 qualified credit hours, or

  • Regular, Full-Time. Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs initial inspections of homes / mobile homes to assess work to be performed in accordance with program and funding guidelines. Perform Crew Leader functions as required to meet production.
